New Proskauer Rose/WeComply Program Puts "Speed Bumps" on the Road to Anti-Harassment Training

Interactive Program Addresses the Latest Requirements of California Law

February 26, 2007 (New York, N.Y.) — Proskauer Rose LLP's labor and employment law department, one of the nation's most prestigious employment-law practices, and WeComply, Inc., the leading provider of customizable online compliance training, have teamed up to offer the first and only online anti-harassment training program enhanced with "Speed-Bump™" technology. The completely updated "Preventing Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation" training program satisfies new regulations under California AB1825, which requires companies to provide their California supervisors at least two hours of anti-harassment training every two years.

The training draws on Proskauer's renowned employment-law content to help supervisors recognize and deal with all forms of workplace discrimination and harassment. The two-hour program combines text, video vignettes, interactive exercises, video commentary from Proskauer attorneys, links to news items and other ancillary resources, and a final quiz/game to assess employees' understanding of the material. The program tracks usage, elapsed time and scoring and reports this information to the company for compliance-auditing purposes.

WeComply developed the Speed-Bump technology to address one of the most vexing problems with computer-based training: the tendency of some users to click through too quickly and without focusing sufficiently on the training content. When a WeComply program senses a "quick-click" through important content, it automatically adds a series of "speed bumps" in the form of additional content that slows the user down and rounds out the learning experience.
