LexisNexis Partners with WeComply to Develop Enhanced Code of Conduct Training Program

New "Code Companion" adds substantive legal analysis to customizable training to help corporate attorneys and executives meet compliance requirements.

May 25, 2004 (New York, N.Y.) — WeComply, Inc. and LexisNexis Matthew Bender today announced the two market leaders have partnered to create an enhanced online Code of Conduct training program for corporate employees, attorneys and executives.

Leveraging analytical content from Matthew Bender's highly-regarded legal treatises and practice guides, the new "Code Companion" adds substantive detail to WeComply's popular Code of Conduct training program. The enhanced program is designed to give corporate counsel and senior management a deeper understanding of the most important legal and compliance issues contained in their company's Code of Conduct.

"Our partnership with LexisNexis Matthew Bender is the perfect matching of strengths" said David Simon, president of WeComply. "As regulatory requirements for corporate attorneys and executives become more complex and onerous, the new Code Companion meets a growing need in the compliance marketplace. By couplingLexisNexis Matthew Bender's substantive materials with WeComply's customizable training content, we're offering companies top-notch knowledge and employee training in a one-stop, user-friendly and flexible format."

Accessed via context-sensitive links in the Code of Conduct training program, the Code Companion offers (1) general legal background; (2) expert commentary on key compliance issues; (3) practice tips, checklists and examples; and (4) a guide to related LexisNexis Matthew Bender resources for additional research.

"Not every attorney and executive will need every segment, but they will appreciate having easy access to in-depth legal analysis provided by Matthew Bender's experts in the Code Companion," said Kent Frankstone, director of Strategy and Development for LexisNexis Matthew Bender. "Whether they are ensuring compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act or OSHA regulations, Internet and email use or educating employees about cyber-security breaches, the Code Companion offers substantive support at the click of the mouse."
